Beamsplitters

Some typical beamsplitter types are shown. Dielectric beamsplitters are most efficient with lower absorption losses but generally exhibit color preference.

Metal beamsplitters are almost perfectly neutral on the other hand but are not energy efficient. (lower curves) Either type can be had in almost any reflection/transmission ratio. 1:1, 2:1, etc. Metal beamsplitters are non-polarizing.
